When should you take a COVID test?

How the COVID self-test works
- Open the extraction tube – open the tube with buffer solution and place it in the provided holder.
- Unwrap the swab – remove the sterile swab from its packaging. Do not touch the swab tip.
- Swab left nostril – insert the swab approximately 2 cm and rotate 5 times along the inner wall.
- Swab right nostril – repeat with the same swab in the other nostril.
- Insert swab into tube – place the swab into the extraction tube, rotate 5 times, squeeze out liquid. Remove the swab.
- Open the test cassette – remove the cassette from its foil pouch.
- Apply the sample – add 3 drops of the solution to the specimen well (S).
- Read the result – after 15 minutes. Do not interpret after 20 minutes.
