Clinical background
Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) is released into the bloodstream when cardiomyocytes are damaged. Alongside ECG and clinical assessment, cTnI measurement is a cornerstone of the diagnostic work-up for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and other forms of myocardial injury. A rapid cTnI test supports early triage in settings where immediate access to central laboratory troponin is not available and helps clinicians decide on further referral, monitoring, or hospital admission.

How the test works
Apply a small volume of whole blood to the sample well, followed by buffer.
