One swab, five answers. The Medomics SARS-CoV-2/FluA/FluB+ADV/RSV Antigen Combo Self-Test detects five respiratory pathogens in a single cassette, including Adenovirus. CE-certified (CE 3018) and designed for at-home self-testing with results after 15 minutes.
5-in-1 Detection: Including Adenovirus
Alongside COVID-19, Flu A/B and RSV, the Medomics adds detection of Adenovirus, a common cause of respiratory infections in infants and young children. Each target has its own clearly marked test line on the cassette for differentiation. One nasal swab, one test, five results.
Clinically Validated: 100% Specificity Across All 5 Targets in the Reported Study
The clinical study reported in the instructions for use evaluated 1,156 anterior nasal swabs and 1,156 throat swabs collected in pairs from the same participants. The anterior nasal swabs were tested with the Medomics combo test and the throat swabs with RT-PCR. The study reported sensitivities of 95.33% for COVID-19, 95.56% for Influenza A, 94.95% for Influenza B, 95.07% for Adenovirus and 96.33% for RSV. All five targets achieved 100% specificity in this study. A negative result does not rule out infection, and test results are not the sole basis for clinical diagnosis.
RSV Detection: 96.33% Sensitivity in the Reported Study
RSV can cause bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants and upper respiratory tract infections in older children and adults. The Medomics combo test achieved 96.33% RSV sensitivity in the clinical study reported in the instructions for use. Combined with Adenovirus detection, the Medomics 5-in-1 provides five separate results from one anterior nasal swab.
Simple Nasal Swab: Self-Testing at Home
Anterior nasal swab collection for self-testing by adults aged 18 and over. For those under 18, the test must be performed or supervised by an adult. Mix the sample in the pre-filled extraction buffer as directed in the instructions for use, apply 4 drops into each of the 2 sample wells on the cassette, and read the results after 15 minutes. Do not read the results after 20 minutes. Complete kit included: test cassette, sterile swab, extraction tube with buffer, biosafety bag and instructions for use.
