On the Path to Success: How Two Young Entrepreneurs in Osnabrück Disrupt the Market

Since 2021, business has been moving for two 21-year-old entrepreneurs: Valentin Kley and Fernando di Matteo built a profitable e-commerce business in the healthcare sector with parahealth. This company gained thousands of business customers in a short time. In early 2022, they relocated their company headquarters to Osnabrück. With their rapidly growing business, the two young entrepreneurs are now pursuing bigger goals: to further optimize their system and the market to build market leadership.

New Location in Osnabrück – New Goals

After a successful first business year in 2021, they relocated their company headquarters to Osnabrück in 2022 and expanded their team. In the future, they plan to expand their product range and expand into other European countries. "We believe in our system," Kley states clearly. The two are pursuing another goal: after already achieving online market leadership, the next step should be leadership of the entire market. "The potential is there," Kley emphasizes. Di Matteo adds: "We will become market leaders because our system is better. We're coming and we're setting prices."

Business Idea at Christmas

At Christmas 2020, the then 20-year-old Kley came up with the business idea for parahealth. To enable safe meetings during COVID times, rapid tests should be made accessible to private individuals. Di Matteo and Kley ordered rapid tests with their own capital and sold them. They invested in a website with an online shop. In 2021, they were Germany's first suppliers to sell the "saliva test" to private individuals, which also caught media attention.

Success in Autumn 2021

Starting in summer 2021, they offered rapid tests exclusively to business customers, as the legal situation for sales to private customers changed. During the COVID wave in autumn 2021, they supplied their customers with nearly one million rapid tests.
